AADFA upholds the very highest international standards of practice and promotes this during training and within it's member base.
As the cosmetic industry in Australasia has traditionally been very poorly regulated, with little accountability, AADFA has come to set the gold standard in training and policy over the years, drawing its best practices and standards from the highest and most respected international bodies.
In February 2013, the 'Cosmetic Surgical Practice Working Party', conducted the world's largest review of cosmetic practices and developed the world's leading document reflecting best practice in this field entitled "Professional Standards for Cosmetic Practice" - AADFA fully supports and has adopted the conclusions in this document as it's Code of Practice.
Led by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and including the Faculties of Dental Surgery and General Dental Practice, this document spells out the accepted standards of patient care, professional conduct and training in the cosmetic industry.
